Critical Notice: Greet is NOT an emergency service
or a 911 replacement. This page explains what Greet can and cannot
do.
What Greet Is
Greet is an AI-powered phone answering service designed specifically
for plumbing, HVAC, and electrical businesses. We answer incoming
calls 24/7, capture customer information, detect potential
emergencies, and send you notifications.
What Greet Is NOT
-
NOT an emergency service: Greet cannot
dispatch emergency personnel, contact 911, or provide emergency
assistance.
-
NOT a guarantee: We strive for reliability,
but cannot guarantee 100% uptime, call quality, or AI
accuracy.
-
NOT a dispatcher: Greet captures information
and alerts you, but does not schedule technicians or dispatch
services.
-
NOT perfect: AI technology can occasionally
misinterpret requests, miss details, or make transcription
errors.
Emergency Handling Limitations
Greet can detect and flag potential emergencies like
burst pipes, gas leaks, no heat situations, or power outages. However:
-
Greet cannot contact emergency services on behalf
of callers
-
Greet
cannot guarantee immediate notification delivery
due to email/SMS delays
-
Greet
cannot dispatch help or ensure someone responds to
emergencies
-
You are responsible for monitoring alerts and
responding appropriately
If a caller is experiencing a life-threatening emergency, they
should hang up and dial 911 immediately. Greet cannot provide
emergency assistance.
AI Technology Limitations
Greet uses artificial intelligence to understand and respond to
callers. While we train our AI specifically for trades, limitations
include:
-
Occasional misunderstandings: Complex requests,
accents, or background noise may cause errors
-
Transcription mistakes: Names, addresses, or
technical terms may be captured incorrectly
-
Context limitations: AI may not always understand
nuanced situations or unusual requests
-
Third-party dependencies: We rely on external AI
providers whose performance we cannot fully control
You are responsible for verifying all customer information, job
details, and addresses before dispatching technicians.
Service Reliability Limitations
While we strive for maximum uptime and reliability, limitations
include:
-
Potential service outages: Technical issues,
maintenance, or third-party provider problems may cause downtime
-
Call quality issues: Network problems, poor
connections, or phone system issues may affect call quality
-
Delayed notifications: Email/SMS alerts may be
delayed due to carrier or network issues
-
No backup guarantees: We recommend maintaining
alternative communication methods for critical situations
Your Responsibilities
By using Greet, you acknowledge and accept these limitations. You
agree to:
-
Monitor call logs and alerts regularly

services
-
Respond to emergency alerts promptly and appropriately
-
