1. What Greet Is (and Isn't)

Greet is an AI-powered phone answering service for plumbing, HVAC, and electrical businesses. We answer calls, capture customer information, detect emergencies, and send you alerts.

Important: Greet is NOT an emergency service or a 911 replacement. We flag emergencies and send alerts, but we cannot dispatch help, contact emergency services, or guarantee immediate action. You are responsible for monitoring alerts and responding to emergencies.

2. Using Greet

To use Greet, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years old and authorized to bind your business to this agreement
  • Provide accurate information during setup
  • Monitor alerts and call logs regularly
  • Comply with all applicable laws, including call recording laws in your jurisdiction
  • Keep your account secure and notify us immediately of unauthorized access

3. How Greet Works (AI & Third-Party Disclosure)

Greet uses artificial intelligence (AI) to answer and transcribe calls. We rely on third-party AI providers (such as OpenAI) to process voice and text.

All calls are recorded and transcribed for service delivery. By using Greet, you acknowledge that AI technology is not perfect and may occasionally misinterpret caller requests or miss details. You are responsible for verifying job details before dispatching technicians.

4. Pricing & Billing

Setup Fee: A one-time setup fee starting at $499 CAD covers customization, training, and testing.

Monthly Plans:

  • Standard Plan: $299/month CAD (includes 300 minutes)
  • Pro/Emergency Plan: $499/month CAD (includes 500 minutes)

Overage Charges: Additional minutes are billed at $0.49/minute.

All prices exclude applicable taxes (HST/GST/VAT). Billing is month-to-month. You can cancel anytime.

5. Cancellation & Refunds

You can cancel anytime by emailing [email protected]. Cancellations take effect at the end of your billing period.

Setup fees are non-refundable once onboarding work begins. Monthly fees and unused minutes are also non-refundable. See our Cancellation & Refund Policy for details.

6. Limitation of Liability

Greet is provided "as-is" without guarantees. We strive for reliability, but technology is not perfect. We are not liable for:

  • Missed calls, dropped calls, or service outages
  • Delayed or missed emergency alerts
  • AI errors, transcription mistakes, or misunderstood caller requests
  • Lost revenue, business opportunities, or consequential damages
  • Actions taken (or not taken) based on call logs or alerts

You are responsible for monitoring alerts, verifying job details, and ensuring appropriate responses to emergencies. Our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

7. Your Responsibilities

By using Greet, you agree to:

  • Monitor alerts and call logs regularly
  • Verify customer information before dispatching technicians
  • Respond to emergencies appropriately and promptly
  • Comply with call recording laws in your jurisdiction
  • Inform callers that calls are recorded (if required by law)
  • Not rely on Greet as your sole means of emergency communication

8. Service Modifications

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue Greet at any time. We'll provide reasonable notice when possible, but we're not liable for changes or downtime.

9. Intellectual Property

All content, software, and features of Greet are owned by Greet / Byteworks. You may not copy, modify, or distribute our service without permission.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. Disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of Ontario.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll notify you of significant changes by email. Continued use of Greet after changes means you accept the updated terms.
